Chasing the coattails of childhood dreams, WILDS formed in Toronto in 2022. Alex on guitar and vocals, Andrew on drums, Jozo on bass. They've spent the time since then doing what most bands skip: actually getting the songs right before getting in front of people.

The music is big. Not big in a vague way. Big in the way that a chorus needs room to breathe, a bass line needs to move, a drum beat needs to mean something. The infectious rhythms and vocals are the kind you don't forget after one listen — the kind that make a song feel like it was already familiar.

They're not chasing a sound so much as they've found one and are learning what it can do. The influences are wide and the ambition is specific. They're writing for rooms they haven't played yet, and the songs are ready for them.
